The Valgoth are the offspring of an Argoth and a Valasian. The Valgoth have struggled to find their place in the world. They are not as fatalistic as the Valasian nor are they as intense at the Argoth. They tend to wander in the world to try and understand who they are and what they want to be. They are very adaptable and can blend in easily.

The Valgoth do not have a culture that is theirs, but a mixture of both Valasian and Argoth. They are great on horseback and with firearms. They have found success working the ranches that have sprung up around Telious and are highly sought after ranch hands.


Physical Description: Valgoth stand taller than argoths but shorter than valasians. They inherit the lean build and comely features of their valasian lineage, but their skin color is dictated by their argoth side. While valgoth retain the pointed ears of valasian, theirs are more rounded and less pronounced. A valgoth’s human-like eyes tend to range a spectrum of exotic colors running from amber or violet to emerald green and deep blue.

Society: The lack of a unified homeland and culture forces valgoths to remain versatile, able to conform to nearly any environment. While often attractive to both races for the same reasons as their parents, valgoths rarely fit in with either argoths or valasians, as both races see too much evidence of the other in them. This lack of acceptance weighs heavily on many valgoths, yet others are bolstered by their unique status, seeing in their lack of a formalized culture the ultimate freedom. As a result, valgoths are incredibly adaptable, capable of adjusting their mindsets and talents to whatever societies they find themselves in.

Relations: A valgoth understands loneliness, and knows that character is often less a product of race than of life experience. As such, valgoths are often open to friendships and alliances with other races, and less likely to rely on first impressions when forming opinions of new acquaintances.

Alignment and Religion: Valgoths’ isolation strongly influences their characters and philosophies. Cruelty does not come naturally to them, nor does blending in and bending to societal convention—as a result, most valgoths are chaotic good. Valgoths’ lack of a unified culture makes them less likely to turn to religion, but those who do generally follow the common faiths of their homeland.

Adventurers: Valgoths tend to be itinerants, wandering the lands in search of a place they might finally call home. The desire to prove oneself to the community and establish a personal identity—or even a legacy—drives many valgoth adventurers to lives of bravery.

+2 To Two Attributes Valgoth get a +2 bonus to Str, Dex, or Con and a +2 bonus to Int, Wis, or Chr
Medium Valgoth are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties to their size
Normal Speed Valgoth have a base speed of 30 feett
Valasian Immunities Valgoth are immune to magic sleep effects and get a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects
Skilled Valgoth gain an additional skill rank at 1st level and an additional rank when they gain a level
Keen Senses Valgoth receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception skill checks
Adaptability Valgoth receive Skill Focus as a bonus feat at 1st levels
Languages Valgoth begin play speaking common and Valasian. Valgoth with high Intelligence scores can choose any languages they want (except secret languages)
